Sheffield Steelers came from behind as they beat Cardiff Devils 2-1 in the Welsh capital.

The Steelers got off to a dismal start and were behind after just 79 seconds as Rupert Quiney bagged the opener.

The away side fought back into the match and levelled a minute into the second period through a Shawn Limpwright effort.

And just 10 minutes later Simon Ferguson popped up to grab the winner for the Steelers.

Cardiff pushed for an equaliser in the third period but came up against a brick wall in shape of John DeCaro.

The result sees the Steelers secure their place in the play-offs with fourth placed Cardiff coming under a strong challenge from Coventry Blaze.
