The Elite League's bottom two sides suffered a bad night as both the Fife Flyers and Hull Stingrays tasted defeat on Sunday.

The Flyers were hammered 7-2 by the Edinburgh Capitals, with Peter Holecko scoring twice, with Richard Hartmann, Chris Leinweber, Rene Jarolin, Jade Portwood and Marcis Zembergs also on target.

Hull took the mid-table Dundee Stars to overtime before losing 8-7 in a barnstorming affair thanks to Matt Baxter's strike.

Braehead Clan remain level with Fife on 36 points after they lost 2-0 to Coventry Blaze, for whom Adam Henrich and Shea Guthrie scored.
