Elite League: Nottingham Panthers stay top after beating Coventry Blaze

Nottingham Panthers remain two points clear at the top of the Elite League following an 8-3 victory over Coventry Blaze.
The game was in the balance until the end of the second period when the Panthers led 3-2 before they cut loose in the final period, scoring five times.
David Clark was their lead scorer with three.
Belfast Giants are breathing down their necks following a 5-0 win over Edinburgh Capitals.
The Giants effectively had the game wrapped up at the end of the first period which they moved into a 3-0 lead.
Sheffield Steelers are third after just edging out Cardiff Devils 5-4.
Tylor Michel put the Steelers 5-3 ahead after 18:51 in the third, only for Matt Faulkner to pull one back. Drew Fata scored twice for the Steelers, as did Faulkner for the Welsh side.
Hull are still bottom but just two points behind Edinburgh after they beat Fife Flyers 5-2. Player-coach Sylvain Cloutier scored twice for the East Yorkshire club.
