David Ling scored all four goals as Nottingham Panthers maintained their lead at the top of the Elite League with a 4-1 victory over Cardiff Devils.

The former NHL player took his season's tally to 23 as the Panthers moved stayed six points ahead of Belfast Giants, who came back from three goals down to beat Coventry Blaze 4-3.

Derek Campbell put the Blaze 1-0 up on his debut for the club and further goals from Brad Leeb and Steven Chalmers had Coventry in control early in the second period.

But the Giants rallied and goals from Mark Garside, Greg Stewart and Kevin Saurette tied the game. Neither side could find a winner in overtime and Robby Sandrock sealed the extra points in the shootout for Belfast.

Tylor Michel and Steven Goertzen each scored twice as Sheffield Steelers won 6-3 at Fife Flyers, while Billy Bagron's goal 16 seconds into overtime gave Dundee Stars a 4-3 win over Braehead Clan.

Curtis Leinweber scored the only goal of the shootout to give Edinburgh Capitals a 3-2 win over Hull Stingrays.
