Braehead Clan snapped a four match losing streak as they came from behind to defeat Edinburgh Capitals 6-1 in Friday's Elite League action.

The Capitals, who themselves broke a similar run last week, lacked firepower and only had 14 shots on goal in the entire match.

However, the visitors opened the scoring with their first powerplay of the game at 7.35 as Richard Hartmann was on hand to slot home.

But the hosts were back on level terms with a powerplay strike from Matt Haywood at 17.09.

Clan got themselves in front with a strike from Matt Hanson at 27.19 before opening up a two goal lead as Ash Goldie was on hand to net their third goal at 36.35.

Three quick goals in the third period put the result beyond doubt, Jade Galbraith at 49.42 and Drew Miller (52.05) netting before Brock Mcpherson rounded off the scoring just over a minute later.
