Martin Brodeur: Kept out the New York Rangers in game four of Eastern Conference finals
Martin Brodeur made 27 saves as the New Jersey Devils tied up the NHL's Eastern Conference finals at 2-2 with a 4-1 win over the New York Rangers in Newark.
Brodeur also recorded an assist on Zach Parise's empty netter in the third period, a period which also saw the Devils netminder suffer a punch to the chest by Mike Rupp.
Parise scored twice in the game, while Bryce Salvador and Travis Zajac beat Henrik Lundqvist less than four minutes apart in the first period.
Brodeur held out until the third period when Ruslan Fedotenko netted for the Rangers.
The Devils bounced back from a 3-0 defeat in game three to tie the play-offs and set up Wednesday's game five at Madison Square Garden.
