Nicky Henderson will assemble a team for the two-day Aintree fixture this weekend, with the focus of attention on handicap hurdlers rather than chasers.
SIGN OF A VICTORY has been shaping up nicely ahead of an imminent seasonal return, and really caught the eye in his latest bit of readying work on the Faringdon Road grass gallops in Lambourn.
However, the talented gelding is part of a multiple entry by the Seven Barrows trainer.
LYVIUS can be hard to predict, but he has a couple of options while the well-regarded CALL THE COPS took the eye in a sharpening breeze and should make his mark in handicap hurdles this side of Christmas.
At Newmarket, Sir Michael Stoute will run mainly two-year-olds over the last major weekend of the Flat season.
MUKHAYYAM is on course for the Horris Hill Stakes at Newbury and should appreciate conditions for the Group Three contest.
SWAHEEN disappointed when favourite for a Lingfield maiden last time, but he's better than the bare evidence indicates, and looked in good fettle in a recent spin on the main all-weather ahead of a move into handicaps on Town Moor.
YARROW was too green to do herself justice first time up at Kempton. She got going when the birds had flown, and will be all the wiser in her maiden at Doncaster on Friday, for which she looked alert in her breeze on Thursday morning.
