Our Gallops Reporter has been to Richard Hannon's yard and has news on a strong Goodwood team for Friday.
SHIFTING POWER is one of Richard Hannon's best chances of Goodwood success and the colt really took the eye grabbing the ground in his final piece of stronger work ahead of tomorrow's assignment.
The progressive colt went down narrowly in a Group One at Chantilly in which he looked a shade unlucky as he was eventually promoted to second.
He was momentarily outpaced when the tempo quickened, as it often does in France, but rallied strongly and was closing the gap all the way to the line.
In what amounts to a drop in grade, Shifting Power should be able to get back to winning ways.
PETHER'S MOON will be looking to notch back-to-back Goodwood successes when contesting the Group Three Glorious Stakes.
He was amongst a handful of Hannon winners at the corresponding fixture 12 months ago and looks just as good as ever.
He's always been a willing worker, and his recent form has indicated he can gain a deserved first success of the year.
MAGIC CITY began life as a sprinter but now finds a longer trip more appropriate. He looked in good order breezing ahead of the Betfred Mile.
SUNSET SAIL should acquit himself well in the nursery. The clear cut Windsor scorer has been in very good form at home.
INDIGNANT and MANDERLEY give Hannon a twin spearhead to fire at the Oak Tree Stakes.
Both these fillies looked in good order in their respective breezes.
WAR SPIRIT has been a fine servant to the stable and this three-times winner could hardly be in better form ahead of a handicap at the weekend.
Several juveniles caught the eye and especially DIVINE LAW.
LETHAL LEGACY troubled the judge on his debut, and appears to have improved a fair way for that.
