GARDE LA VICTOIRE sidestepped an engagement at Cheltenham this weekend but worked well at Philip Hobbs's Sandhills base on Saturday morning in anticipation of a run at Warwick next Wednesday.
The unbeaten French-bred is in a normal novices' hurdle at the Midlands course and looks in top order for what will be a more straightforward assignment.
Hobbs wants the impressive Aintree scorer to gain more experience before pitching him in at the deep end.
The Warwick race offers an opportunity to achieve that.
SAUSALITO SUNRISE tackles the conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle at Cheltenham on Sunday, and showed his well-being for that when impressing in two breezes up the woodchip strip.
He ran well in all three starts last season after coming off the injury list and goes well fresh.
ORABORA also fits that bill as he scored on his reappearance last season.
The seven-year-old looked in good order working ahead of Sunday's Salmon Spray Trophy at Fontwell.
