Grandouet: All set for his weekend comeback
The heaviest frost of the winter restricted activities to the superb all-weathers at Seven Barrows as Nicky Henderson worked his forces for the weekend
Some of that team have double engagements, including MINELLA CLASS whose clear cut Ascot triumph appears to have done wonders for his confidence
Minella Class lost ground in the air at some of his fences but he is expected to be sharper as he steps up to three miles at either Doncaster or Cheltenham
The seven-year-old looked razor-sharp in his latest piece of faster work before the freezing conditions arrived
GRANDOUET has been in great form ahead of his eagerly-awaited return in the International Hurdle
Ruled out of last season's Champion Hurdle by a late niggle, he's been producing his trademark telling turn of foot in his work
His match-up with Zarkander and Rock On Ruby is a re-baptism of fire but there is abundant confidence behind the near black gelding
OSCAR WHISKY was hugely impressive on his comeback at Ascot and seems better than ever. He breezed with plenty of zip limbering-up for the Relkeel Hurdle and looks Henderson's NAP at the two-day Cheltenham fixture.
RIVER MAIGUE seemed to just blow up on his return to the fray at the Open meeting and looks liked an avenging assasin in his build up work to a return to the same venue
VASCO DE RONCERAY had to give best to a well-regarded foe at Cheltenham but his work since then suggests he could turn the tables if re-opposing his conqueror.
