Racing: Victors Serenade has the Coral Welsh National at Chepstow as his aim

Victors Serenade has the Coral Welsh National on December 27 as his main aim after bouncing back to form with a win at Chepstow.
However, whether he returns to the Monmouthshire venue with or without the aid of another outing is still up for debate.
While Anthony Honeyball is overjoyed to have him back to his best, he cannot help but think what might have been given how lightly raced the nine-year-old has been in recent seasons.
``He's come out of the race well and he will probably be put by now for the Welsh National, he should get in off his new mark of 139,'' he told Racing UK. ``We could keep our powder dry or we could go for the Rehearsal Chase, we'll see.
``He doesn't desperately need three-miles-five furlongs and he travelled very well the other day.''
Explaining the problems encountered, Honeyball said: ``He ran in the same race two years ago and nearly fell. He had to have two chips removed and then like a lot of ours he was suffering with a virus last season.
``It's a real shame. He's in the prime of his life now, but has missed two seasons really.''
