The Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron Stakes at Leopardstown is the likely next port of call for Thawaany as trainer Freddy Head aims to secure a Group One prize for his talented filly.
After winning a Group Three at Deauville at the end of June, Thawaany returned to the same track for her debut at the highest level in the Prix Maurice de Gheest and was only narrowly denied by Richard Fahey's British raider Garswood.
The four-year-old has now been pencilled in for a trip to Ireland, with Head keen to find out whether she is as effective over a mile as she is over six and seven furlongs.
Head said: "She ran a great race and I think her next race could be the Matron Stakes.
"She is a good filly. We don't know if she will get the mile (at Group One level), but she has won over a mile (in lesser company).
"That is the question mark, but we have to try and we will see what happens.
"She doesn't want the ground too firm."
