Battersea could head to next month's Ebor Festival at York following his victory at Ascot on Saturday.
The three-year-old shed his maiden tag in style with a length-and-three-quarters victory in a £50,000 event and could now tackle the Betfred Melrose Stakes on the Knavesmire on August 23.
Trainer Roger Varian told www.varianstable.com: "That was a good race to break your maiden in. He is a progressive horse. He stays well and will be an even better four-year-old.
"We may look at the Melrose for him next."
