The going description at Epsom has changed after racing to Good, Good to Firm in places ahead of Investec Derby Day.
Andrew Cooper, Head of Racing and Clerk of the Course at Epsom Downs Racecourse, said: "I have changed the going description.
"The forecast is for dry weather until at least 1am. From then on, there is 12-hour period potentially when we could see showers, some of which could be heavy.
"It is uncertain when the rain and if the rain will come and how much we will get. Any rain should clear away by the afternoon. There is quite a dramatic range about what could happen rain-wise, from nothing to an inch (25 millimetres).
"We have had an excellent day today. I think we have seen a very good Investec Oaks winner in Taghrooda."
At the end of Investec Ladies Day, Rupert Trevelyan, Regional Director of Jockey Club Racecourses, commented: "It has been a fantastic Investec Oaks day with a tremendous atmosphere and a hugely impressive winner in Taghrooda. I am delighted for John Gosden and Paul Hanagan in winning their first Investec Oaks.
"The crowd figure was 20,681, which was up by over 3,000 people on last year and we were also up in hospitality sales.
"All in all it has been a really good day enjoyed by all our customers."
