Jockey Amir Quinn has been handed a 24-day ban by the British Horseracing Authority for persistent misuse of the whip.
Quinn again broke the rules when winning on Born To Surprise at Lingfield on Saturday but the on-course stewards referred the matter to the BHA as it was his fifth offence within the last six months.
Eight days of the ban have been deferred until July 20.
The rest of the suspension will run from May 23 to June 8, on days on which Flat racing is scheduled to take place.
