Trade Storm looked especially well and should be suited by the way the Dubai Duty Free is run, according to the Newmarket handler.
Simcock said: "Taking on better horses will suit him as they should carry him into the race, but whether he'll be good enough to beat the Japanese horse (Just A Way) is open to question. I was really impressed with that one's latest win."
Moment In Time and Sheikhzayedroad give Simcock a twin spearhead in the Dubai Gold Cup.
Simcock said: "Moment In Time ran a really good race last time, going up a blind alley when she was travelling really strongly.
"She might struggle to overcome Cavalryman, but she has prospects of finishing in the first three.
"Sheikhzayedroad has run three very solid races here, winning over a mile and a quarter which was definitely on the sharp side.
"It's nice in itself to be running for such good prize-money.
"I think Meydan is a track at which you invariably need luck, and that makes the racing very open.
"The pace of the races, when they go quick and then steady it up, can lead horses to experiencing bad luck in running.
"But the one thing about mine is that they are in good order, and I'm hopeful."
