Dank pleased Sir Michael Stoute
Sir Michael Stoute took some of his work to Great Leighs for an away day and our gallops reporter was on hand.
Sir Michael Stoute took his Dubai World Cup night runners DANK and HILLSTAR for an away gallop at Great Leighs racecourse this morning.
The pair have engaged in several routine spins at home but this away day was designed to put a bit more edge on them exactly a fortnight ahead of the big Meydan meeting.
Jane Chapple-Hyam's MULL OF KILLOUGH is also Dubai-bound and he set the pace in the mile workout on Polytrack.
Stoute was delighted with Dank.
The Breeders' Cup Filly And Mare Turf winner had been taking a keen grip in her work and was equipped with a Frankel-style sheepskin bobble.
Ryan Moore was also pleased with Dank after Jamie Spencer set the gallop on Mull Of Killough.
Hillstar, whose target is the World Cup itself, lost ground at the start and had a tad too much to do.
The colt proved over keen on a couple of occasions last season and his trainer's task this year will be in getting him to settle.
But he has done well from three to four and looks like contesting all the top mile and a quarter races.
Dank's Meydan target has yet to be decided as she has entries in two races.
