Connections of Tammys Hill have yet to make a final decision on whether one of Ireland's leading hunter chasers will line up on the CGA Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham in little over a fortnight's time.

Liam Lennon's nine-year-old benefited from a superb Robbie McNamara ride when narrowly defeating leading Foxhunter hope On The Fringe at Leopardstown earlier this month and was a hot favourite to follow up at Fairyhouse last Saturday.

While he came up short, Tammys Hill was far from disgraced in finishing third behind Warne, with Lennon blaming the testing conditions for his reverse.

"He stayed on well. He missed the third-last and Robbie said instead of gaining two lengths, he lost two lengths," said the trainer.

"The trip was maybe a bit on the short side for him, but Robbie said the ground was the biggest problem. He said we should never run him on that sort of ground again.

"He is good after Saturday, there's no problems at all with him.

"I honestly don't know what we are going to do with him now. I spoke to his owner on Sunday, just to confirm the horse was okay, and he never mentioned anything about a plan for him, to be honest.

"I stuck him in for the Foxhunter at Cheltenham, Robbie thinks he should go and is keen to ride him.

"The worry is he's been to Britain three times and hasn't run up to his best on any occasion.

"He was disappointing at Stratford last year and was well beaten in bumpers at Perth and Southwell."
