Wincanton's valuable Saturday card could become an all-hurdle meeting at best with concerns over the chase course.
The main event of the day is the Bathwick Tyres Kingwell Hurdle and clerk of the course Barry Johnson said on Wednesday afternoon: "We've had 10 millimetres so far today, it should start to blow out but we'll probably get another two or three.
"However, we expected 18 to 20. There are showers tomorrow, perhaps another six millimetres and we're down to what we get on Friday, which could be bad.
"We'll have a look tomorrow to see if we go all hurdles, or to stick with our chases. The chase course isn't looking pretty at the moment as it has been cut up through January. The hurdles is 80% on fresh ground so it can take more rain."
