Plumpton: Further rain forced the decision
Plumpton's fixture today has been abandoned due to waterlogging.
The racecourse executive had intended to inspect the track at 7.30am, but saw no reason in delaying the inevitable, with 12mm of rain having already fallen on top of saturated ground and further precipitation still arriving.
Racing goes ahead in Britain today at Catterick and Wolverhampton.
Clerk of the Course Mark Cornford said "We have had 12mm of rain overnight which was more than expected and the course is currently waterlogged and unraceable, with more rain forecast during the morning."
Plumpton's next scheduled raceday is in a fortnight's time on Monday February 24.
