Activial: Set for the Adonis Hurdle
Harry Fry's promising four-year-old Activial will have his second start for the Seaborough handler in the Adonis Juvenile Hurdle at Kempton on February 22.
The French import made a promising debut when beating all bar one of the ante-post favourites for the Triumph Hurdle, Calipto, at Newbury in November.
Fry always planned to give him a break after that and feels soft ground will be no barrier.
"Activial is on target for the Adonis," said Fry. "That is traditionally a strong trial and it will tell us whether we should be going to Cheltenham or not.
"He's done very well since having his first run for us and then we gave him a break, which we were always going to do as we hadn't had him long before he ran at Newbury.
"He schooled on Tuesday with Noel (Fehily) and went very well. He loves soft ground so if it stays as it is it won't matter to him.
"None of the first three from Newbury have run since, but the fourth (Dawalan) has won twice and the sixth (Baradari) has won as well.
"The first (Calipto) and third (Chocala) are both entered at Newbury this weekend."
