Trainer Willie Mullins withdrew the nine-year-old, owned by Andrea and Graham Wylie, from the Grade Two at the final declaration stage and now relies on Zaidpour and Bishopsfurze.
"Boston Bob is possibly going to Cheltenham, now. He's in good form," said Mullins.
Boston Bob made a successful return to the smaller obstacles at Punchestown on New Year's Eve after ending last season with falls in his final two starts.
He had earlier looked a top-top prospect over fences, having won the Dr P.J. Moriarty Novice Chase at Leopardstown.
Boston Bob has big-race entries over both codes, the Hennessy Gold Cup back at Leopardstown on February 9 as well as three at the Cheltenham Festival - the Ryanair Chase, the Ladbrokes World Hurdle and the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup.
