The nine-year-old was an unlucky second to Riverside Theatre in the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon on December 12, before unseating Ian Popham at the fifth fence in the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.
However, trainer Martin Keighley reports his charge to have been in good form at home since then.
"He's fine and will run in the listed chase at Kempton on Saturday," Keighley said.
"He just made a mistake and threw Ian off early on in the King George before running around with them loose but he came back sound.
"He's in good form at home, the course and distance on Saturday will suit and we're looking forward to running."
Captain Chris, ruled out of the King George after banging a joint when schooling, could run his first race since finishing third behind Champion Court in the Peterborough Chase.
Willie Mullins could be represented with Twinlight and Prince De Beauchene both entered, while Pepite Rose, Kauto Stone and French Opera are other interesting possibles.
