Harry Fry has picked out some valuable targets for three classy mares in his yard with Ascot-bound Highland Retreat heading the trio.

Winner of two valuable races so far this season, Highland Retreat collected a Kempton Listed race last time out in November and will step up in class for the Grade Two OLBG Mares' Hurdle on January 18.

The race was won two years ago by Violin Davies, then trained by Paul Nicholls but now with Fry.

"Highland Retreat is due to run at Ascot in a few weeks in a Grade Two," said Fry.

"There's a brilliant programme for these mares and the British Horseracing Authority and everybody should be congratulated. I'm lucky enough to have some classy mares and the races pick themselves really.

"Blue Buttons will go to Sandown in mid-February for a Listed novices' hurdle (Jane Seymour Mares' Novices' Hurdle, February 14). She was just touched off at Taunton over Christmas but it was a good run.

"Bitofapuzzle will also go to Sandown but in early March for the EBF (Mares') Bumper (March 8). I was very pleased Huntingdon rearranged the valuable bumper she won the other day, I knew she'd handle the ground well enough."
