The seven-year-old has not been seen in competitive action since winning the woodiesdiy.com Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown at the end of 2012, missing last year's World Hurdle at Cheltenham after a late setback.
He has also failed to make the racecourse so far this term, but Meade is hoping his charge will have a race before heading to the bigger meetings in the spring.
"He's coming along and is back in full work now. Hopefully we can get him ready for the spring," said the trainer.
"I hope we can get a run in somewhere (before the big festivals), but we'll just have to see how we get on.
"There are plenty of races for him to run in, but we have to get him back on track before we think about where he might go."
