The Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock is a possible target for Ptit Zig following his fantastic effort in The Ladbroke.

The Paul Nicholls-trained four-year-old, who won a Grade One in France on his penultimate start, was burdened with 11st 12lb for the valuable handicap hurdle but performed superbly to finish a clear second behind Willow's Saviour.
Part-owner Barry Fulton said: "I thought it was an unbelievable run.
"Paul said he'd improved since his run in France and it was probably a career-best effort.
"It was the heavyweight against the lightweight and unfortunately we came off second best.
"I'm not sure where we'll go next. He likes that softer ground and he might get that at Haydock in the Champion Hurdle Trial on January 18, so that is his next possible race.
"I don't suppose you could arrange soft ground for the Champion Hurdle, could you? That's the only way he'd be running in a race like that.
"Paul wants to look after him until he goes over fences. That's what we're looking forward to - hopefully winning the Gold Cup in three years' time! I think he will be a three-miler eventually, so he's an exciting horse to have."
