Now with Tony Martin, Flemenstar won at Navan last month but did not impress everybody with his performance, jumping high at many of his fences.
His handler reports him to be in good form at present, with a workout scheduled for Wednesday morning.
Martin said: "At this stage the intention is that he will run at Punchestown on Sunday. I've been happy with him since Navan.
"We will give him some work in the morning and take it from there."
Sir Des Champs was second in the Gold Cup to Bobs Worth in March before winning at the Punchestown Festival. He will be having his first run of the season.
Robbie Hennessy's Rubi Light was third last year, beaten a long way, and is engaged to run again but he disappointed in the Clonmel Oil Chase last time out having previously run well behind Sizing Europe at Gowran.
As well as Sir Des Champs, WIllie Mullins could also run Avrika Ligeonniere, winner of the Clonmel race.
Dessie Hughes may field Lyreen Legend, a top-class novice last season and second in the RSA at Cheltenham to Lord Windermere.
Noel Meade's Texas Jack, the Gordon Elliot-trained trio of Realt Mor, Roi Du Mee and Toner D"Oudairies and Jessica Harrington's Oscars Well complete the list.
