The three-times Grade One winner switched to Martin from Peter Casey during the summer and although he made a winning comeback in the Fortria Chase at Navan, his jumping was not as assured as it has been in the past.
Martin is confident the eight-year-old will improve for the outing and the trainer plans to decide after he works whether to let him defend his crown in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase on Sunday week.
Martin said: "We've been happy with him since his first run and he will do a bit of work over the weekend. We'll probably make a decision early next week which way we're going.
"All options are open to him at this stage. As long as he goes well over the weekend I think he's ready to run again, so it's just a question of where we go.
"He jumped well before his last run and has jumped well since. It was just one of those things on the day, things went a little bit wrong for him.
"I think we've got him back on track now and we'll see where we go from here."
