The Jonjo O'Neill-trained six-year-old is unbeaten in two tries over fences, and claimed the notable scalp of Oscar Whisky over an extended two and a half miles at Cheltenham on Friday.
O'Neill is, however, of the opinion that Taquin Du Seuil has the pace to return to two miles, which would make the Arkle Trophy at the Festival in March an obvious target.
By contrast, owner Martin Broughton believes last season's Challow Novices' Hurdle winner could be more effective over farther.
He told Channel 4 Racing: "It was a funny sort of race (on Friday) but we were very hopeful.
"He's taken to chasing and it was great.
"He's a big lad. I think of him as a two-and-a-half-miler, but Jonjo thinks he could be a two-miler.
"AP (Tony McCoy) is divided between two miles and two and a half, but he likes him."
