Kingman: Holds entry in Dewhurst
John Gosden's 2000 Guineas favourite Kingman leads a field of 32 possibles for the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on October 12.
The Khalid Abdullah-owned colt cemented his Classic claims with an emphatic success in the Solario Stakes at Sandown, which took his unbeaten record to two after an equally smart debut win.
Aidan O'Brien is responsible for 13 of the entries after the latest forfeit stage.
The master of Ballydoyle has surprisingly won only two previous renewals of the seven-furlong Group One (Rock Of Gibraltar, 2001 and Beethoven, 2009), which so often sees the crowning of the season's champion juvenile.
Among this year's baker's dozen are Great White Eagle, War Command and Michaelmas, although that trio are all engaged in the six-furlong Middle Park Stakes on the same afternoon.
O'Brien still has two unraced colts in the race in Red Rocks Point and Johann Strauss.
Jim Bolger, who has saddled five of the last seven Dewhurst winners, fascinatingly has just one contender this year in Fiscal Focus, who has yet to make his racecourse debut.
The other entrant who has yet to make a competitive appearance is the much talked about Hydrogen.
The Peter Chapple-Hyam-trained colt is a half-brother to Derby hero Authorized and was the most expensive yearling sold anywhere in the world last year at 2.5 million guineas.
Paul Cole's emphatic Chesham Stakes winner Berkshire also features.
