ESTIMATE was the high profile horse amongst Sir Michael Stoute's workers on the Limekilns short gallop this morning.

Her Majesty The Queen's filly, a courageous winner of the Gold Cup in June, was forced to miss the Doncaster equivalent after a problem was detected high up in her quarters.

Following a restive break, Estimate enjoyed her first piece of light work and it was just that as she was led to the six pole by PAVLOSK without either filly coming off the bridle as the tempo slightly increased in the final half-furlong.

There are some top staying races in the programme for the final quarter of the season, giving Stoute time to get Estimate onto the track again if she indicates she is ready.

Next up were a trio of colts, with DEFENDANT leading THEODORE GERICAULT and ENOBLED.

RUSSIAN REALM looked well in himself as he was led by PERSEPOLIS.

Russian Rhythm's son may well find another race before the end of the campaign

CENTRED then angaged in a solo spin while ASTORGS GALAXY led WAILA.
