The 2000 Guineas winner scoped badly after finishing fifth to Moonlight Cloud in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville last month but is now pleasing Bolger and is on target for the Group One, sponsored by Qipco, over a mile at Ascot on October 19.
"All's been well since about 10 days ago and he's at the top of his game at the moment, so we'll start getting him ready for Ascot shortly," the County Carlow trainer told At The Races.
"They can't run well with mucus. He was scoped two days before the race and he was clean and the day after the race he wasn't.
"It's reasonable to assume that he had mucus when he was running and that would account for his run."
