Hot Streak: Stayed on well under Jamie Spencer
Hot Streak (3/1) gave Kevin Ryan an Ebor day double when overcoming a tardy start to take the Julia Graves Roses Stakes by a length and a half under Jamie Spencer from Mecca's Angel.
"When he won his maiden here some people said he didn't beat much, but he can only beat what was there on the day," said the Hambleton handler.
"He has improved a lot for that and I thought he might handle the ground. He was still very green. We'll have a chat and see what we'll do."
Ian Williams and jockey Richard Kingscote gained some compensation for Genzy's narrow defeat in the Ebor when Sam Sharp (14/1) took the Betfred The Bonus King Handicap.
"He won here in June and he loves soft ground. We'll look at the Cambridgeshire," said Williams.
The QIPCO Future Stars Apprentice Handicap brought the meeting to a close and the final honours of the fixture went to Tim Clark aboard Scott Dixon's Threes Grand (5/1 jf).
