Grandeur in winning form at Goodwood
Trainer Jeremy Noseda has revealed that Grandeur was found to be lame after finishing seventh in the Arlington Million behind the promoted Real Solution on Saturday.
Previously a Grade Two winner in the States, Grandeur was sent off favourite after finishing second in the Sky Bet Stakes at York to Mukhadram.
However, he found the fast ground against him in a race in which he was also drawn on the outside.
"Grandeur didn't fire, but I was concerned with ground conditions before the race and sadly the horse was found to be lame afterwards," said Noseda.
"We will get him home and judge where we go from here with him."
Noseda was also left frustrated after interference cost Yeager his chance in the Secretariat Stakes
The three-year-old colt was making progress when he was hampered before eventually finishing 10th behind Admiral Kitten in the Grade One.
"Yeager was running a solid race until he was badly hampered with three furlongs to run," the Newmarket trainer told www.jeremynoseda.com.
"At that stage it would have been hard to judge what would have happened with a clear run, but it gave him no chance."
