Talent: Could go to York
Talent could try to regain the winning thread in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks at York next week.
Ralph Beckett's charge was a shock 20-1 winner of the Oaks at Epsom in June but finished last in the Irish version, 12 lengths behind winner Chicquita.
The daughter of New Approach warmed up for her possible Knavemire assignment with a racecourse gallop last night and Beckett said: "Talent worked at Kempton last night and she might go to York next week."
Stablemate Secret Gesture chased home Talent at Epsom and has since finished a narrow second in the German equivalent. She also holds the York engagement.
The Galileo filly was entered for Tuesday's Prix de la Nonette at Deauville but Beckett has ruled out that 10-furlong heat.
He said: "I still haven't decided what I'm going to do with Secret Gesture but I've taken her out of the Prix de la Nonette."
A supplementary entry could emerge in the shape of the Luca Cumani-trained Emirates Queen.
Winner of the Lancashire Oaks on her penultimate start, the four-year-old was a close third in a Group Three at Deauville last weekend.
Cumani's wife, Sara, said: "We could have a runner in the Yorkshire Oaks, as Emirates Queen might be supplemented. Hopefully it stays alright up there."
