The Tolworth Hurdle winner has been held up in the majority of his races, but Scott believes that has been more a case of circumstances than design.
With no quarter asked or given in the Festival opener on March 12, Scott feels it might be prudent to stick closer to the pace.
"I wouldn't be worried about soft ground now, but at this time last year I would have been," the Somerset handler told At The Races.
"Realistically they will not let it get any quicker than good, good to soft and he could cope with that fine.
"I think we'll ride him handier in the Supreme than he has been ridden previously.
"We had him ready to run in a point-to-point before we sold him last year so we know he can jump fences okay.
"I'm guessing that's probably the route we'll take next year."
