Jockey Denis O'Regan was not ruling out a fair showing at one of the spring festival meetings, as the 1-2 favourite flew straight and true over his obstacles.
Second on his first outing since leaving Mark Johnston on the Flat, Bordoni ran out when in the lead at Ludlow.
"It was fierce unfortunate that day but he came out of the race OK and came through this with flying colours. I was delighted with him," said O'Regan, who was asked if his mount might be a prospect for the Fred Winter at Cheltenham.
"Without going overboard, you'd have to say he'd have a squeak in a race like that," he said.
"Maybe Aintree might suit him better, but we'll see. His best form for Mark Johnston was on quick ground and I'm convinced he'll do better on top of the ground. He just could be a really nice prospect on better ground."
