Officials at Fairyhouse have announced an 8am precautionary inspection ahead of the track's meeting on Tuesday.

Saturday's fixture at the County Meath venue had to be abandoned due to a waterlogged track, but general manager Peter Roe is pleased to report conditions are now raceable.

However, with the possibility of both snow and rain overnight, he feels it sensible to check on conditions in the morning.

Roe said: "We'll have a look at 8am, but it is very much precautionary and I'm very bullish about the meeting going ahead.

"We are perfectly raceable at the moment, but we better have an inspection because there is an adverse weather forecast.

"The forecast says there is snow, rain and everything coming in, but I'm quite confident it's going to be more northerly than here."
