Today's meeting at Ayr has been given the green light after the track was able to bring forward a morning inspection.
Clerk of the course Emma Marley had planned to take a look at the course at 7.30am but gave the card the go-ahead a little earlier after a fairly mild night.
Marley tweeted: "Racing goes ahead today, five millimetres of rain in the past 24hrs. Forecast mild, with cloudy, scattered showers. All rails on bends moved out over damage."
The going is heavy and the seven-race card will get underway at 12.30.
