Felix de Giles: Took the wrong course at Lingfield
Felix de Giles has been suspended for 12 days after taking the wrong course at Lingfield in the Crowhurst Handicap Chase.
Riding Newton Tonic for trainer Charlie Longsdon, De Giles was leading the six strong field when taking the wrong course after the fifth obstacle as they raced away from the stands.
The jockey was quick to realise his error and pulled his mount up shortly afterwards with the 2/1 favourite Take Over Sivola going on to lift the prize.
