The Nottinghamshire venue suffered some severe flooding last month causing substantial damage to buildings and the all-weather track, which is currently out of action until February.
However, the turf course has not been affected and subject to a British Horseracing Authority course inspection by Nicky Carlisle on December 20, officials are aiming to race on January 3 and 21.
Jon Pullin racing director (North) for ARC, owners of Southwell, said: "The weighing room and jockey's area was a priority in the immediate recovery work and some of the public areas were not too badly damaged, we are therefore very hopeful that we can stage the January National Hunt Fixtures as originally scheduled subject to the inspection on December 20."
