Trainer William Haggas hopes Dancing Rain's light campaign will give her a fitness edge in the Hong Kong Vase at Sha Tin on Sunday week.

The 2011 Oaks heroine has raced just once this year, when third in the Qipco British Champions Fillies' And Mares' Stakes at Ascot in October.

Haggas said: "The Vase looks like a very hot race this year - hotter than last year.

"But if we have her absolutely right come the big day, she will be very competitive at Sha Tin.

"She is a strong and very willing filly, and, of course, she's fresh after her light season.

"Her achievements mean that she is a very special filly in our stable."
