Racing beating the weather...so far
Bangor officials have been forced to abandon their meeting on Saturday due to flooding at the Welsh track.
The decision was made after an inspection on Thursday morning which found many parts of the course still under water after the River Dee burst its banks on Wednesday evening.
Bangor clerk of the course Andrew Morris said: "We have seen a large amount of improvement, but we haven't seen as much improvement as we needed. The course is still severely flooded.
"Having seen how quickly the water levels have dropped in the last 24 hours, there was no prospect of racing at the weekend.
"We will now turn our attentions to the next meeting here on December 14."
Meanwhile, there was better news at Thurles where Thursday's jumps meeting will now go ahead after the track passed an early morning inspection.
Musselburgh officials will make a decision for Friday's card on raceday with the threat of overnight frost at the Scottish circuit.
