Red Jazz has been ruled out of the Longines Hong Kong Mile after scoping dirty, trainer Charlie Hills has revealed.

The five-year-old had been in line for the Group One at Sha Tin on December 9 until this setback put paid to plans.

"Unfortunately Red Jazz will not be running in the Hong Kong Mile due to a bad scope," Lambourn-based Hills tweeted.

However, one British raider taking his chance in the Mile is Master Of Hounds.

His trainer William Haggas will also be represented by Dancing Rain in the Longines Hong Kong Vase.

"We're taking Dancing Rain and Master Of Hounds to Hong Kong on Friday," Haggas' wife and assistant, Maureen, told At The Races.

"Dancing Rain goes in the mile-and-a-half (Vase) and Master Of Hounds is in the Mile.

"Both, touch wood, are in really good nick. I'm really looking forward to it."
