November Handicap one-two Art Scholar and Communicator cross swords again in the Betdaq Casino Games Wild Flower Stakes at Kempton on Wednesday.

Michael Appleby's Art Scholar got the better of the Andrew Balding-trained Communicator by three-quarters of a length on the last day of the Flat turf season on November 10 and they now step up to Listed company on the all-weather.

Appleby, who paid just £600 for his stable star at Ascot sales in April last year, is looking forward to campaigning his charge in Dubai during the winter and hopes he can sign off for the year in Britain with another win.

Appleby said: "We were going to put him away for the year after Doncaster but he's so well in himself at the moment you don't like to stop with them when they are like that.

"He's a course and distance winner at Kempton so as long as there's a good pace on he should be there or thereabouts again.

"We meet the Doncaster runner-up again and I'd say he's probably the one to beat.

"We just found out the other day our horse has been accepted to go out to Dubai, so we'll give him a run tomorrow and then get him ready for that.

"It will be exciting to go to Dubai with him. I don't think there'll be many £600 horses running out there!"

Art Scholar and Communicator feature in a nine-runner field, with Harris Tweed and Media Hype other interesting contenders.
