Unbeaten in three bumpers last term, the Gordon Elliott-trained five-year-old shrugged aside long-time leader Sizing Gold from the second-last and won with his head in his chest.
Davy Russell was able to ease the Gigginstown House-owned gelding in the final strides as the 30-100 shot strode to a nine-and-a-half-length success.
Elliott said: "He idled a little bit in front, but Davy was very happy with him.
"He will probably come back here for the Grade One Navan Novice Hurdle (December 16) which is over two and a half miles. We will definitely be stepping him up in trip.
"We will take it one step at a time with him and it's nice to get that race out of the way."
Sky Bet were impressed and cut the winner to 9/1 from 12s for the Supreme Novices' at Cheltenham.
