Ffos Las officials have been forced to abandon this afternoon's meeting due to a waterlogged track.

The Welsh circuit had 21 millimetres of rain overnight and the decision to cancel the card was a simple one following a 7.30am inspection.#

Clerk of the course Tim Long said: "When the rain did arrive, it really came down.

"We had 21mm in total, and the ground was saturated this morning. There was no chance we were going to get the improvement needed to be able to

race."

Meanwhile, Ascot's six-race fixture will go ahead despite 17mm of rain although the going has changed to soft.
