Twiston-Davies: Trains According To Trev

According To Trev is likely to represent local trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies in the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham on Sunday.

The Naunton handler would also have considered The New One, but the four-year-old sustained a minor injury so was not entered for the Grade Two heat over two miles and five furlongs.

The New One was a winner over the course and distance last month and Twiston-Davies expects him to be back on the track sometime next month.

"He just got a little cut, so he's had to have a stitch in it which has put him out of that race, but he's fine, 100% and he'll run just before Christmas, something like that," said Twiston-Davies.

The trainer is happy to give According To Trev the chance to continue his winning ways over the smaller obstacles having struck at Worcester in June and also at

Cheltenham over three miles one and a half furlongs last month.

"He'll probably go back to Cheltenham at the weekend. He did really well last time and deserves to have another go," he said.
