Sizing Europe will not run in the JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal on Saturday afternoon due to unsuitable ground.

Trainer Henry de Bromhead has decided not to risk his stable star over three miles on going that would stretch the 2011 Queen Mother Champion Chase winner's stamina.

De Bromhead tweeted: "Sizing Europe a non-runner due to change in ground."

The 10-year-old was caught close home by Quito De La Roque in this race 12 months ago and was runner-up to Kauto Star in 2010.
