Queally: Great partnership with Frankel
Tom Queally says he will "feel a sense of loss" when Frankel is retired after Saturday's Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot.
Queally has been on board for all of Frankel's previous 13 wins and is set to partner him again on Saturday.
The rider admits Frankel's retirement will leave a big hole in his career, however.
"Any horse that comes and goes, that you ride often, you feel that sense of loss," Queally told Sky Sports News.
So far Queally's career has soared in tandem with Frankel, but he puts a lot of his success down to Cecil's guidance.
"You can have a little bit of talent and the drive and will to succeed, but you need people to help you and be steered in the right direction," he said.
"At the end of the day, no matter how good or bad you are or whatever horses and opportunities you are given, you can't beat experience."
Frankel is 5/1 with Sky Bet to go out on a high by winning by over 10 lengths on Saturday.
